Ciao Derby fans! We are the Italian Rams! We are made up of Jason Berrisford, Manuele Dimiceli, Carmine Ruotolo, Alfonso Sorrentino, Juri Terribile, Gianpiero Zullo, Ivan Gheller.
Our Derby County fan club is based all over Italy, starting from Rome ending to Turin. We met thanks to the Derby supporters club and we have remained friends. This is the main point and the most important feature of our team.
We became fans of Derby through different ways! The classic game of subbuteo, films, historical tales and players. Most of all for us it is the spirit of the City of Derby, Derbyshire, Derby County, its fans and people make us strong supporters of The Rams.
Every year we fly from Italy to East Midlands Airport to watch Derby live and support our English team. This has been a tradition for us since 2016! We look forward to it every year. We've supported Derby a long time and coming to Pride Park has always been an awesome experience! In 2017, we were fortunate enough to get up close and personal with the Brian Clough Trophy, it was an amazing experience.
We've discovered a good number of Derby County fans in Italy, thanks to the fan club! We are linked together on WhatsApp and we send them updates and news about the club and we also have a lot of passionate discussions!
Compared to the Serie A, the Championship is a though league from an athletic point of view. However, it’s possible to find more surprises and underdog teams which can win titles and big games. In Italy, over the past few years, there have quite a few very talented young players coming through. If Derby watched a few U-23 games, they might find a few really talented players!
In Italy we support our local teams. Football has a very central role in our
lives, but like all things it is fair to balance support and passion in order to develop an authentic and genuine football heart.
We are looking forward for the next season which with Phillip Cocu. It should be an important one. Cocu is a manager of a project and we support his creative mentality. We could have reached playoffs this past season, but maybe the team started it's run a little too late. But in 2021, Wayne Rooney and his teammates give us a lot of hope!
Everyone in our fan club has their favorites! From the recent past: Richard Keogh, Chris Martin, Johnny Russell and Darren Bent. From the current team: Wayne Rooney, Tom Lawrence and Louie Sibley. But the most important thing for us is the club above all else!
